3-Day Love It or Leave It

Buy or lease a used vehicle for $50,000 or less, and you have 3 days to change your mind. Bring it back, cancel the contract, and get your money back for any reason, less a restocking fee.

How the 3 days are counted

Your 3 days start the calendar day after you sign your purchase or lease contract, and end at close of business on the third day. If the dealership is closed to the public on that third day, you have until the next day we are open.

Example: Sign on a Monday, and your 3 days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You have until our sales department closes on Thursday.

How to return your vehicle

1. Come in personBring the vehicle back to us during business hours, within your 3 days, with no more than 400 miles added since you signed.
2. Bring what came with itReturn the vehicle and any cash or items you received as part of the sale, such as keys, accessories or gift cards.
3. Sign the cancellationWe’ll have you sign the paperwork needed to cancel the contract and process your refund.

The vehicle needs to be in the same condition as when we delivered it. Normal wear and tear is fine, and so is any defect or mechanical problem that shows up after delivery that you didn’t cause. It also needs to be free of any liens other than the financing from your purchase or lease with us.

The restocking fee

There is no charge for the right to cancel. If you return the vehicle, a restocking fee applies:

  • Base fee: 1.5% of the vehicle’s sale price on your contract, never less than $200 and never more than $600.
  • Mileage fee: $1 for each mile over 250 miles, up to $150.

The fee comes out of your refund first. You only pay at the time of return if your refund isn’t enough to cover it.

Your refund and your trade-in

  • We cancel your contract and refund your money within 48 hours of your return, less the restocking fee. If you paid by check or another method that takes time to clear, the refund may wait until 2 business days after your payment is verified.
  • If you traded in a vehicle, we give it back to you along with its keys. If we’ve already sold it or started transferring its title, we pay you the greatest of the trade-in value on your contract, what we sold it for, or its fair market value.
  • If we paid off a loan on your trade-in, that payoff may be deducted from your refund.
  • You’ll get a receipt showing the date and time you cancelled and an itemized list of any deductions.

What isn’t covered

  • New vehicles
  • Used vehicles with a sale price over $50,000
  • Vehicles driven more than 400 miles after signing
  • Vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 lbs. or more
  • Fleet, commercial, wholesale and auction sales
  • A lessee buying the vehicle they are already leasing
